The Casting Director can be one of an actor’s best friend. Basically what a casting director does is acts as the middle man between the actor and the director and producers of the project. A producer will hire a casting director, who in turn will bring in a list of actors that might be right for a part in the movie. How do you get to know these people? Act. Do theater or invite them to see you in a play at one of the Acting Colleges you are going to. The bottom line is that they need to see you work in order to feel confident enough to bring you into the audition.
