We went to pick out a dog at the animal shelter and found our Beagle named Bill. His face was as sweet as any beagle could be until, he stood up. He was huge. We discovered he weighed 55 lbs and very overweight for his size. His head was small but cute with those puppy like eyes and his body was round like a sausage. He could hardly walk around, we had to help him get into the car when we finally took him home. We fell head over heals in love with him. He was so sweet and happy. We started right away with a good diet and exercise regimen. We walked him four times every day and fed him only 1 1/2 cups of his dog food every day. I did not know how breeding Discus fish could be so tiring. I could never have them mate and i have already tried doing it several times. One instance, i tried to breed them not knowing that both of them were female. It took so much time before my friend, Valerie, who was also an avid collector of Discus fish, told me that both were of the same gender.
