I currently own three Los Angeles cleaning services and all of them have very large contracts with restaurants and many other businesses. I decided rather than having three separate businesses, to combine them into one large business. It actually is so much easier to keep track of everything than separate business entities. I enlisted the help of several firms to help with the integrations of the three companies so that it would be as smooth as possible. I decided to keep the original name, which is now the name of the entire three companies. At first my employees were concerned it meant they were losing their jobs but I explained I was only combining, not closing.
