The family all gathered at the hospital today for the birth of my sister’s new baby.  She went into labor while she was at the park.  Luckily, her husband was with her and they came straight to the hospital.  From what I understand, the baby came relatively quickly and was considered an easy delivery. I doubt my sister would agree that it was easy.  My father handed out gispert cigars to anyone around to celebrate the birth of his first grandchild. Apparently, it’s a tradition in our family to give out those cigars at births.  I’d just as soon they passed out Snicker bars, but they didn’t ask me.
