First General Body of
OSSAE Outside Kerala
A meeting of the headmasters of four Metro-dioceses of India was
held in Nagpur Seminary on Saturday, 21st August 2004. About 50
participants were there. H. G. Dr. Yakob Mar Irenaeus, the
President of the OSSAE-OKR presided over the meeting. Fr. Reji
Mathew, director of OSSAE-OKR presented the English translation
of the Sunday school Constitution with relevant changes. An
English form of the OVBS Manual, an Year Plan and a budget were
also passed in the meeting. OKR will observe the first Sunday of
December, birth day of John the Baptist as the Sunday School day
in Outside Kerala parishes. Mr. Kuruvilla M. George IRS
felicitated the meeting.
VISION 2004
Nagpur Seminary conducted an Eye Camp in collaboration with IOMF
Kuwait on Friday, 10th september 2004. About 400 villagers took
part in the Camp. 50 people will get their eyes operated free of
cost and another 50 people will get free spectacles.

Nagpur Seminary Chapel
Consecration On Feb. 17-19
The
consecration of the Seminary chapel, first convocation and the
inauguration of 'PRERANA' Complex and launching of Seminary
website will be held on Feb. 17-19 at Nagpur St. Thomas Orthodox
Theological Seminary.
On Feb. 17 from 9 am to 12 pm the first STOTS Alumni Association
will be held and Fr. Dr. K. M. George (Principal, Orthodox
Theological Seminary, Kottayam) will be the key note speaker on
the occasion. At 3 pm the ' PRERANA' Complex will be inaugurated
by the Ex- Minister Dr. Shrikant Jichkar.
On Feb. 18, the STOTS Governing Board Meeting will be followed
by the Convocation ceremony and the guest of honor at this
session will be Prof. Dr. Kari Christian Felmy ( Dept. of
Orthodox Theology - Friedrich- Alexander University,) from
Germany.
At 6.30 pm, after the evening prayer, consecration phase 1 of
the newly constructed Seminary chapel will be conducted and His
Holiness Baselius Marthoma Mathews II will be the chief
celebrant. The Seminary Chapel designed by Mr. K. J. Peter
(Madras). It has a blend of traditional Kerala architecture and
modern concerns of the indigenization of our Church. 100 people
can worship there in the traditional Orthodox way with
genuflection. H. G. Stephanos Mar Theodosius laid the foundation
stone of the Seminary Chapel on 29th October 2002. The main
expenses of the Chapel was sponsored by St. Thomas Church Dubai.
On Feb. 19 at 7am the second phase of the
consecration will be held by His Holiness and assisted by
Metropolitans Dr. Geevarghese Mar Osthathios, Dr. Stephanos Mar
Theodosius, Job Mar Philoxenos, Geevarghese Mar Coorilos and Dr.
Yakob Mar Irenaios. There after the Seminary web site will be
opened by His Holiness Baselius Marthoma Mathews II to the
public at www.stotsindia.org

Mar Augen Memorial
Award For The Children Outside Kerala Priests
A cash award of Rs 5000 each will be given for those who have
scored the marks in std. X and XII examinations of the year
2003. Those who are eligible for the award should sent their
applications along with an attested mark sheet on or before
February 5th 2003 to the principal, St. Thomas Orthodox
theological seminary, Brahmani P O, Kalmeshwar 441 501,
Maharashtra. The prize will be given by His Holiness Baselius
Marthoma Mathews II on 19th February 2004 during the
consecration of the seminary chapel.

for the Children of the priests of Calcutta Diocese
A cash award of Rs 5000 each will be given for those who have
scored the marks in std. V and VII examinations of the year
2003. Those who are eligible for the award should sent their
