Gearing up for the most exciting tennis tournament of the year in the United States, the USTA has announced the prize money for 2010′s winners.  The total purse will be $22.6 million with the potential of $25.2 million to be paid out. This is the largest purse in tennis history. The singles champions in both the men’s and the women’s will be rewarded $1.7 million with the ability to win an additional million in bonus prize money.  The top three men and top three women are rewarded bonus prize money.
