The first time that I heard about Web based EMR, I was a little hesitant to use it. I loved the idea of having a record system that could be accessed from anywhere, but I was concerned about my patients’ privacy. What if someone hacked into the system? But then I learned that this type of software is actually more secure than the record systems in many small hospitals. In addition, it complies with all HIPAA standards. When I heard that, I lost all of my reservations. I started using the software, and now I don’t know what I ever did without it.
